PURE ESSENTIAL OILS AND HOW TO USE THEM SAFELY
An essential oil is the natural fragrant essence extracted from flowers, leaves, bark, roots and berries. These highly concentrated oils have qualities which, when extracted or distilled, can benefit physical ailments and promoted emotional as well as spiritual wellbeing. However, you need to take extra care when using them as they are highly concentrated. Some people can experience allergy reactions and sensitivity for essential oils.

How to use essential oils safely
- MASSAGE is a great way to ease any tension in your body. Always dilute essential oils with a base oil such as almond, grapeseed or wheatgerm. Lavender, Rosemary, Eucalyptus, Geranium, Lemongrass, and Lemon are some of the commonly used essential oils in massages. (See the blending table below)
- BATH - Adding pure essential oils or bath salt infusions into the water is a relaxing way to enjoy the healing benefits of essential oils. Add 5 drops of essential oil to a teaspoon of base oil and add to a full bath.
- DIFFUSION - is a great way to deodorize a room. You can use your favourite essential oil/oils in a diffuser or in an oil burner. For oil burners, pour a little warm water on the hotplate before adding essential oils. Check the manufactures guidelines for diffusers. Room sprays made with essential oils are another effective way to refresh your space to enjoy the benefits.
- SHOWERS - For a steamy aromatherapy shower, add 2-3 drops of essential oils into an unscented shower gel to enjoy the aroma.
- SAUNA - Add few drops of essential oils to the pitcher of water and enjoy the steamy aroma. Eucalyptus, Pine, Lavender, Lemongrass, Geranium, Rosemary and Cypress are work well in the sauna.
- INHALATION - Help clear the head and nose by adding 3-5 drops of essential oil to a bowl of steaming water. Ideal for respiratory conditions such as hay fever, colds and congested sinuses. Eucalyptus, Lavender, Lemon and Rosemary can work well.

Massage oils
Massage blends are ideal for easing tension from those tired and achy muscles. Shake well before use and apply a small amount of oil to one palm. Rub your hands together to warm the oil then massage into your skin.
